WHY
Movement is the dynamo which powers all our bodily systems. In our wild and natural form, humans would have spent most of the day in movement, either walking, running, swimming, dancing, collecting food and hunting. Without the use of our muscles and bones, our bodies start to fail. Our muscles need to be worked and stretched or they will weaken and stiffen. Our bones are constantly changing, laying down calcium deposits that mend and reinforce stress lines. Thus by applying weight on our bones, we can prevent brittleness and fractures. Movement also enhances our gut mobility, aids our digestion, strengthens our heart and lungs, and improves our overall fitness. Moderate exercise positively influences our gut microbiota biodiversity and enhances our immune system.
